Learn how to increase system performance by increasing the amount of virtual memory on your HP computer in Windows. Steps for modifying virtual memory settings:
Click the Windows button.
Type advanced system settings and then click View advanced system settings.
Under Performance, click the Settings button.

Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives and select System managed size if it is not already selected.

1. Click on Citrix desktop player icon.

Training as: Network Analyst

A Network  Analyst  is an individual that is responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software systems that make up a computer network including the maintenance and monitoring of active data network or converged infrastructure and related network equipment.

Network administrators are generally mid-level support staff within an organization and do not typically get  involved  directly  with  users.  Network  administrators  focus  upon  network components  within  a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure ensuring integrity. Depending on the company and its size, the network administrator may also design and deploy networks.[1]

The actual role of the network administrator will vary from place to place, but will commonly include activities and tasks such as network address assignment, management and implementation of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, routing table configurations and certain implementations of authentication (e.g.: challenge response, etc.). It can also include maintenance of certain network servers: file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, etc.

In smaller organizations, network administrators may also be technically involved in the maintenance and administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, IP Phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches as well as a vast array of additional technologies inclusive of both hardware and software.

As a Network Analyst, your tasks generally fall into the following areas:

1.   MCITP:

The Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification helps validate that an individual has the comprehensive set of skills necessary to perform a particular job role, such as database administrator or enterprise messaging administrator. MCITP certifications build on the technical proficiency measured in the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications. Therefore, you will earn one or more MCTS certifications on your way to earning an MCITP certification.

MCITP candidates are IT professionals capable of deploying, building, designing, optimizing, and operating technologies for a particular job role. They make the design and the technology decisions necessary to ensure successful technology implementation projects.

2.   Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE):

Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE) v1.0 is an instructor-led training course presented by Cisco training partners to their end customers. This self-paced e-learning is designed to help students prepare for Cisco CCNP® certification. The ROUTE course is a component of the CCNP curriculum.

3.   CCNA (Routing and Switching):

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching is a certification program for entry-level network engineers that helps maximize your investment in foundational networking knowledge and increase the value of your employer's network. CCNA Routing and Switching is for Network Specialists, Network Administrators, and Network Support Engineers. The CCNA Routing and Switching validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks.

Project: Web Server

The term web server  can refer to either the hardware (the computer) or the software (the computer application) that helps to deliver web content that can be accessed through the Internet.

The most common use of web servers is to host websites, but there are other uses such as gaming, data storage or running enterprise applications. The primary function of a web server is to deliver web pages to clients. The communication between client and Server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Pages delivered are most frequently HTML documents, which may include images, style sheets and scripts in addition to text content. A user agent, commonly a web browser or web crawler, initiates communication by making a request for a specific resource using HTTP and the server responds with the content of that resource or an error message if unable to do so. The resource is typically a real file on the server's secondary storage, but this is not necessarily the case and depends on how the web server is implemented. While the primary function is to serve content, a full implementation of HTTP also includes ways  of  receiving  content  from  clients.  This  feature  is  used  for  submitting  web  forms,  including uploading of files. Many generic web servers also support server-side scripting using Active Server Pages (ASP), PHP, or other scripting languages. This means that the behaviour of the web server can be scripted in separate files, while the actual server software remains unchanged. Usually, this function is used to create  HTML  documents  dynamically  ("on-the-fly")  as  opposed  to  returning  static  documents.  The former  is  primarily  used  for  retrieving  and/or  modifying  information  from  databases.  The  latter  is typically much faster and more easily cached but cannot deliver dynamic content. Web servers are not always used for serving the World Wide Web. They can also be found embedded in devices such as printers, routers, webcams and serving only a local network. The web server may then be used as a part of a system for monitoring and/or administering the device in question.

Role Description:

The Web Server (IIS) role in Windows Server 2012 provides a secure, easy-to-manage, modular and extensible platform for reliably hosting websites, services, and applications. With IIS 8 you can share information with users on the Internet, an intranet, or an extranet. IIS 8 is a unified web platform that integrates IIS, ASP.NET, FTP services, PHP, and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

The following list shows just some of the benefits you get by using IIS 8:

      Maximize web security through a reduced server foot print and automatic application isolation.

      Easily deploy and run ASP.NET, classic ASP, and PHP web applications on the same server.

     Achieve  application  isolation  by  giving  worker  processes  a  unique  identity  and  sandboxed configuration by default, further reducing security risks.

     Easily add, remove, and even replace built-in IIS components with custom modules, suited for customer needs.

      Speed up your website through built-in dynamic caching and enhanced compression

Practical Applications:

Administrators  can  use  the  Web  Server  (IIS)  role  to  set  up  and  manage  multiple  websites,  web applications, and FTP sites.

Some of the specific features  include the following:

Use IIS Manager to configure IIS features and administer you websites.

Use File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to allow website owners to upload and download files.

Use website isolation to protect against one website from interfering with other sites on your server. Configure web applications that are written using various technologies, such as classic ASP, ASP.NET, and PHP.

Use Windows PowerShell to automate management of most administration tasks for your web server. Configure multiple web servers into a server farm that you can manage using IIS.

Take full advantage NUMA hardware, and get optimum performance from your NUMA-enabled server.
