IPv6 addressing

Internet Protocol Version6(IPv6)

IPv6 is the next generation protocol designed to replace the current version i.e. IPv4. IPv6 fixes a number of problems in IPv4, such as limited number of  available  IPv4 addresses. IPv6 gives us a larger address space. Addresses in IPv6 are 128 bits long versus 32 bits in IPv4.The drawback of the large address size is that IPv6 carries some bandwidth over IPv4.
